When I read this book something with layout of page was "wrong" :-). Can I believe that what is written in about graphic design is right? Nice experience.

I have made copies with a photocopier in our office. I was curious if the texts at hair will be still readable and it was. I have made copy of original and copy of first copy. On the left is first copy of original and on the right is copy of copy on the left.

22.01.12: Later I realised that in brief was information that the customer needs low budget printable poster. I think there was too much black color, so I made an inverse and here is the result of it:

Exercise Poster Flyer

1. Printed versions. I tried to make a copy on copier machine and it worked good. I pin the posters on notice board in my office.

2. The samples (mock ups) helped me to judge the design and immediately I draw some ideas in it.  I have changed the figure's neck, left hand and I put there a cable built by text (the idea gave me my colleague in office which saw my lamp work on the notice board above). I played a lot with the text. My idea was to use the text as it is signing. At the end of this intention I made only wave distortion of the text to sign (it looked more appropriate than the distorted text before).

3. I have made just visualization to see how the design call for an attention. The dimension is not A3 but the design works pretty good I think.

4. The poster looks better when the text Learn to sign is not in the figure and it also confirmed my family. For the text in figure reminded me a shorts (can be useful this experience in future). In this time we thought also that the text should be somehow transformed into hair of figure.

Research Point: Branding

I found logos of Silicon companies presented them in one file. This logo attracted my attention as first.

I mostly like the illustration of the head composed in the typography. It evokes an intuition and I can easy believe that the company makes an IT software which could be friendly for users.

Nice logo with rotated E. The E is little adjustment but completely change the 2D feel to 3D space.

Next logo has a bank institute from my country and I always think what it means:

The blue illustration evoked something like the circle can be fit it in right way. (the blue circle into the space in line). But the logo has other means. When I asked our banker what does it means he answered that he do not know either. After several days he called me back and here is the means of the logo: the blue illustration is a swimmer. Something interesting happened, when I know the true means now I like the logo but before it I did not like it because it does not give me clear means. So I think that when we process designing a logo we have to be care about the communication which it will transmit and it will not be easy. I learned from this experience a lot.

Talkmore:
when I was looking for this logo I found that link where is beautiful illustration: http://www.toonpool.com/cartoons/we%20used%20to%20talk%20more_43841. Illustration is something I want to more explore in future.

Talkmore is logo design which perfectly suit. The company is retailer of mobile phones. The a letters as apostrophes are amazing. I like how the Ed's electric and talkmore logo can be easily use on white and black background. It is good to think about in designing process.

3. After the visualization I had feeling that something is wrong. When I was making the poster in Illustrator I was limited because things I can do in photoshop I could not do in Illustrator. So, I started new poster in Photoshop:
